Our Project Milestones

Greenpower Samoa’s experience is built on real renewable energy projects, long-term investment, and practical delivery in Samoa.

2014 – 2015

Samoa Airport Solar + Storage Project

Greenpower Samoa developed a 2.5MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic project at Samoa Airport, now supported by 2MWh of battery energy storage. The project contributes to renewable electricity generation at one of Samoa’s key infrastructure locations.

2015 – 2016

Racecourse Solar + Storage Project

Greenpower Samoa developed the Racecourse solar project, which now represents 7.8MW of solar generation capacity combined with 3MWh of battery energy storage. The project strengthens Samoa’s renewable electricity supply and demonstrates Greenpower Samoa’s capability in utility-scale solar and storage infrastructure.

2024

Solar Infrastructure Upgrade

Greenpower Samoa expanded its renewable energy portfolio through the acquisition and renovation of an existing solar power station, adding 5MW of solar capacity together with battery energy storage.

2026

New 5MW Solar + 2MWh Battery Storage Project

Greenpower Samoa reached another major milestone by signing a new 5MW solar and 2MWh battery energy storage project agreement with Samoa EPC, with the project expected to supply approximately 7.9 million kWh of electricity per year.
